Abstract
Introduction: The number of leprosy patients in need of disability care is still large, but resources in terms of funding, human resources, material resources and the attention of the political system are increasingly decreasing because leprosy has been eliminated at the district level. Therefore, there needs to be research on the current situation and some factors affecting the management of disabled leprosy patients in the current situation to have appropriate intervention solutions. Objectives: To describe the results of disability prevention and control management in people with leprosy with level 1 and 2 disabilities in Binh Thuan province and some influencing factors. Methods: Cross-sectional study. Results: Management of leprosy disability prevention activities on records and on patients was still low; There were associations with leprosy disability levels: Incomplete medical records were 1.09 times more likely to have level 2 disability, similarly: inaccurate assessment of disease condition (1.08 times higher), advice on how to exercise for recovery inadequate disability (1.07 times higher), inadequate supplies (1.06 times higher) and family discrimination (1.10 times higher).
